Loretta 'Glorette' Kidder

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 19, 2017 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Landry Catholic Church for Loretta Rita Kidder, age 85, the former Loretta Guillory, who passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 9:45 p.m. at Opelousas General Health System in Opelousas. Interment will be in Holy Sepulcher Mausoleum on Union Street. The Rev. James Brady, pastor of St. Landry Catholic Church, will officiate at the services. Mrs. Kidder was a native and lifelong resident of Opelousas. She was a parishioner of St. Landry Catholic Church. Survivors include one daughter, Debbie R. Kidder of Opelousas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Octave Kidder, Jr.; her parents, Gustave Guillory and the former Lucy Carriere; and one brother, Mervin Joseph Guillory, who passed away in 2000. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 2:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Friday.
