Mary Catherine Richardson

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, May 9, 2022 in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers - Bertrand for Mary Catherine Richardson, 76, who passed away on May 1, 2022 at her residence. Cathy was born October 16, 1945 in Abbeville, LA and raised in Erath. She worked as a secretary for SOLOCO for 35 years before retiring. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, and camping with her husband. Together they toured all of the states except Hawaii. They also visited over 50 National Parks and Preservation areas. Cathy was also active in the Evangeline Chapter and Half Fast Region of the Antique Auto Club of America, and the Lafayette Boat Club. Rev. Mark Ledoux, Pastor of St. Peter Church in Carencro, Louisiana will conduct the funeral services. Cathy, a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Kelsie Bolner and the former Lillian Chaisson. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, John Perry Richardson; sister, Susan Gail Siefert of Baton Rouge, and brother, Mark Anthony Bolner of Grosse Isle, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Delores Ann Dubois. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory be made to Hospice of Acadiana or St. Jude's Hospital.
