A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00PM on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers - Bertrand for Ryan Randal Richard, 36, who passed away on September 12, 2018. Burial will take place in Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist Cemetery. On August 20, 1982, Ryan Randal Richard was born in Lafayette, LA and raised in Milton, LA. Ryan attended Milton Elementary, Comeaux High then attended University of Louisiana. Ryan was a proud Veteran who served with the 256 MI CO, 256 BCT during Operation Iraqi Freedom 04'-05'. He had a lifetime bond with his military brothers whom he loved and supported until his untimely death. Ryan was passionate about adventure, love of his family and friends. He had an extraordinary curiosity and zest for life and his Cajun culture. He had many spots around town where you could usually find him with a great smile and a big hug. Ryan was fierce in the face of adversity. A loving, brave and kind friend, brother and son. #MILTONMAFIA; Ratchet Riders; Mashmode!!! Ryan, a resident of Youngsville, was the son of Brad Richard and the Tammy Hebert. He is survived by his mother, Tammy Hebert Jacobsen; father, Brad Richard and wife, Tracy; siblings, Grant Richard and wife, Amy, Adam Jacobsen and significant other, Santa Alvarez , Desiree Jacobsen, Candice Dion Kretzer and husband, Joshua, Caitlyn Richard and Brian Hughes-Kotacska; maternal grandmother, Molly Hebert; paternal grandfather, Bradley Richard as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Joseph "Mac" Hebert and paternal grandmother, Laling Richard. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Wednesday September 19, 2018 from 9:00AM to 3:00PM.
