Survivors include his children, Amanda Arceneaux Derise and her husband, Bob, Donald D.J. Arceneaux and his wife, Katie, Blake Arceneaux and his wife, Korie, and Damon Guidry and his wife, Korie; his parents, Francis and Lynette Kleinpeter Arceneaux; 13 grandchildren, Davis, Andre, William, Levi, Ava, Liam, Laila, Leyton, Asa, Tate, Jax, Fynn, and Gemma; one sister, Lynda Fontenot and her husband, Daniel; and two brothers, Michael Arceneaux and his wife, Maureen, and Alan Arceneaux and his wife, Tina. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Scott Arceneaux was a man of many talents and a heart of gold. Born in Montgomery, AL, Scotts early years were spent around the globe; his father's Air Force career took him and his family to live in many places including Hawaii, South Carolina, Canada, and Virginia. Eventually, they settled in Lafayette, where Scott graduated from Carencro High School. Known for his love of the outdoors, Scott found joy in hunting, fishing, and the beauty of nature. His knack for fixing anything that needed repair was matched only by his ability to whip up a delicious meal, bringing family and friends together. Hunting and fishing were among his favorite pastimes, where he found solace in the beauty of nature and the thrill of the catch. Whether it was tracking game in the woods or casting a line into the water, Scott always had a deep respect for the land and the life it provided. A true craftsman at heart, Scott could take a piece of wood and turn it into something beautiful. His hands were never idle, always busy building, repairing, or creating something new. Friends and family knew that if it was broken, Scott could fix it; if it didn't exist, he could build it. Scotts generosity was as boundless as his skills. He was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back without a second thought. As a loving son, devoted father, loving grandfather, and loyal friend, he touched many lives with his kindness and willingness to help others. He gave not only his time and talent but also his heart to those around him. Scott leaves behind a legacy of love and hard work. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his spirit will be carried forward by the many lives he touched. Pallbearers will be Donald D.J. Arceneaux, Blake Arceneaux, Davis Derise, Damon Guidry, Asa Guidry, and Scott Nall. The Family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation and special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of both the Calcutta House of Hospice of Acadiana, and Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center ICU 3rd floor.
