Steve Simmons Obituary

Steve Simmons, 58, died Monday February 13, 2017 peacefully at home in his sleep following a brief illness. Steve was born April 12, 1958 , he was lifelong area resident. Steve held many accomplishments which included but not limited to being ranked #1 in sales in the nation with MCI along with the title of Vice President of several telecommunication companies. Steve dedicated himself to his wife, family and managing Cypress Tree Inn and its subsidiaries, which he considered family as well. Steve is survived by his wife; Claire Levert Simmons, 2 sons; Paul Simmons and Steve Simmons Jr., and 2 daughters; Courtney Gregory and Stephanie McLeod. He also leaves behind three granddaughters. He is preceded in death by his parents Buddy and Betty Simmons of Lafayette La. Memorial Service will be held at 1pm Sunday February 26, 2017 at Cypress Tree Inn, 2503 SE Evangeline Thrwy in Lafayette, La. Steve will be missed by many. Gone too soon but will never be forgotten. Kinchen Funeral Home Inc., 1011 North Saint Antoine Street, Lafayette LA 70501 is in charge of arrangements.
