Theresa Trosclair Obituary

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 24, 2018 at 1:30 PM in St. Genevieve Catholic Church, 417 E. Simcoe Street, Lafayette, Louisiana 70501, for Theresa Trosclair, 91, who died on Friday, September 21, 2018 at her residence in Lafayette. Eulogies will be shared in the funeral home on Monday at 12:30 PM. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN location, on St. Landry Street, Lafayette, Louisiana on Sunday from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and will continue on Monday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. A Rosary will be prayed Sunday at 4:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Reverend Taj Glodd, Pastor of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Plaisance, Louisiana, will conduct the funeral services. Survivors include one daughter, Donna Lynn Whitfield and her husband, Cliff; three sons, Richard Keith Trosclair, Warner Blaine Trosclair, and wife, Annette, and Mark Anthony Trosclair and wife, Dawn; 22 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew J. Trosclair; her parents, Gilbert and Louise Daigle; and several brothers and sisters. Theresa Trosclair was born in Church Point, Louisiana in 1927. She met and married the love of her life, Andrew J. Trosclair, and raised a large family. Mrs. Trosclair worked as a National Sales Manager for Huntington House Publishers for many years before her retirement. She enjoyed arts and crafts, antiquing with her sisters, loving and helping others and was a faithful parishioner of St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Lafayette. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Trosclair, Timothy Trosclair, Elijah Trosclair, Warner Trosclair, Andrew Trosclair, and Melton Weaver. Honorary pallbearers will be David Trosclair, Clay Whitfield, Joshua Trosclair Sr., Lee Quattrone, Jacob Trosclair, and Quinten Robertson. A heartfelt appreciation is extended by the Trosclair family to St. Joseph Hospice and her loving and faithful caregivers, Bobbie Bell, Delores Menard, Jaynell Trosclair, and Sharon Narcisse. My deepest sympathy to the Trosclair family .For many years Theresa was such a dear neighbor and good friend.her boys and my boys were close friends.We saw one another almost daily. I am sorry after moving we eventually lost touch.Her family has always been in our memories and continue to be.God grant you peace in your loss.
