Private Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 in Martin & Castille's La Fleur de Lis Chapel in Lafayette, for Therian LaFleur, age 73, who passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at his residence in Lafayette. Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend William Schambough, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milton, will conduct the funeral services. Therian is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marlaine Chastant LaFleur; his daughters, Lauren Richard and her husband Ra', and Jennifer Hall and her husband John; his grandchildren, Wes Hall, Ella Hall, and Camille Richard; his brothers, Andy LaFleur, Bobby LaFleur and his wife Pam, and Jimmy LaFleur; and his sister, Karen Reeves and her husband Wayne. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. and June LaFleur; and his in-laws, Curt and Margaret Chastant. Therian was a graduate of Eunice High School and USL. He was a proud owner/manager of Chastant Bros. until his recent retirement. He was beloved husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family unconditionally. Therian enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, and working in his yard. Pallbearers will be Ra' Richard, John Hall, Wes Hall, Bobby LaFleur, Jimmy LaFleur, and Jason Magnon. Honorary Pallbearers will be Andy LaFleur, John Chastant, Chris Chastant, Eloy Placer, Wayne Reeves, and the employees of Chastant Bros. A heartfelt appreciation is extended by the LaFleur family to the nurses and staff of Heart Hospital of Lafayette, Heart of Hospice, "Abiomed Boys", Dr. Dobbs and Rebecca, Dr. DeWitt, Dr. Thomassee, Dr. Malek, Dr. Zeik and Nadia, Dr. Hargrave, and Dr. Dearman.
