A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Scott for Vivian Jane Campbell Barras. Vivian went home to be with the Lord at the age of 86 on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at her residence in Duson surrounded by her family. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's Scott location on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 beginning at 5:00 PM and will resume with an all-night visitation until time of services on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 10:00 AM. A Rosary will be prayed by Brady LeBlanc on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille's Funeral Home of Scott. Interment will be in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery. Reverend Aaron Melancon, Pastor of St. Theresa Catholic Church will conduct the funeral services. Mrs. Vivian was a devout Catholic and was a parishioner of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Duson. She loved the outdoors and going fishing. Some of her other passions were cooking for her family and camping. She will be deeply missed and memories of her will be cherished by all who knew her. Survivors include her beloved husband of 73 years, Mr. Eldon Joseph Barras; and three sons, Gentry Barras, Eldon Paul Barras and his wife Debra and Kermit Joseph Barras and his wife Krista; her grandchildren, Mandy, Chantell, Reggie, Brandon, Angelique, Kim, Clemire, Shawn, Joshua, Gabrielle, Shane, Kent, Kevin, and Kirk and 33 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Glenda Barras Broussard and Leatrice Barras Lavallee; and her parents, Felix Campbell and Edna Mae Menard Campbell and her grand daughter, Cassie Lavallee; her siblings Adam Campbell, Enite Campbell, Freddy Smith, Preston Smith, Gladys Campbell, Ken Campbell, Agnes Campbell, Mary Louise Campbell, Florence Campbell, Francis Campbell, Don Campbell, Alice Campbell. Pallbearers will be he grandsons, Clemire Barras, Shawn Barras, Joshua Barras, Reggie Barras, Brandon Barras and Kent Broussard.
