Brother Bill encouraged us young men to look to our Lord Jesus. He valued me as a friend in the faith and made special effort to communicate his appreciation. He validated good thinking and guided to even better as needed. Ill miss him.

I am thankful to have spent the last 4 summers listening to such detailed stories from brother Bill. He was such a patient and kind man who served the King well. I will see him again in the light of His glory!

Melber and I send our Condolences to Bill's family ; I am Charles Moore, retired USAF, the #3 son of Willie and Alice Moore who were Bill and Carolyn's next door neighbors at Bayou Jack Marina. We met them in the 70's when I moved my young family (Micah & Heather) back to Iberia for a year when I was sent to Turkey. They spent many good times that year at Bayou Jack with the folks which included the Walkers. When I retired from the USAF in 1979, we moved to Lafayette and renewed many old friendships. My fondest memory with Bill was when I was asked to accompany he and two other WWll Vets on an Honor Flight to Washington DC for ceremonies. In our little quartet, now two, Don Broussard will soon celebrate his 101st birthday. GOD speed Bill!

I was so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. My sister and brother-in-law, Ella Mae and Warren Dartez, used to have a camp at Bayou Jack across from Bill and Carolyn's camp. They were both so kind to me and my family. Whenever I saw them in later years in Lafayette, they always asked about everyone. My prayers are with your family.
