Akia Jordan Obituary

Akia D. Jordan was born to the union of Alonzo and Jeanice Jordan on September 16, 1985. She is also the stepdaughter in the union of Johnathan and Jeanice McKinley. She graduated from Kirby High School with High Honors; attended David Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN and Rhodes College in Memphis, TN. Majoring in English. She attended Bountiful Blessings/ Temple of Deliverance Church as well as other various churches around the city at an early age. Akia leaves her mother, father, stepfather, loving grandmother: Juanita Rainey; sister: Arika Jordan; brother: Antonio Jordan (Jessica); four nephews, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins who all loved her dearly. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Akia Danielle Jordan of Memphis, TN, who left us on July 11, 2025, at the age of 39, She is survived by many families and friends who cherished and loved her dearly. Please keep The Jordan Family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
