Caleb Cochran Obituary

Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven Caleb Mark Cochran, affectionately known by both Caleb and Mark, 61, passed away in Memphis, TN, Saturday, June 14, 2025, with his family by his side. A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the celebration of life following at 5:00 p.m., all at Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven. A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., at Martin Cemetery (9526-9342 Sibley Hole Road Little Rock, AR 72209). Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven is in charge of arrangements. Caleb was a devoted husband, loving father, loyal friend, and a man of unwavering faith. He lived his life with purpose, joy, and a heart for others. Christ-like in spirit, Caleb was known for his compassion, loyalty, and steadfast love for his family. He was a gifted storyteller who enjoyed sharing tales that could light up any room. Adventurous at heart, he loved traveling, fishing, cooking, and spending time outdoors. He was an avid lover of college football, especially the Mississippi State Bulldogs, Southern Miss Golden Eagles, and Arkansas Razorbacks. Some of his happiest days were spent tailgating in the Junction at Mississippi State, cooking, spending time with friends and family, and welcoming any and everyone into his tent. He found tremendous joy in the companionship of his beloved dog, Buzz Lightyear. Caleb had a curious mind and a passion for learning. Whether it was reading, researching, or inventing, he was always seeking new ways to improve and create. If something needed fixing, he would figure it out-always thinking, always solving. He dreamed of patenting several of his inventions and had a knack for making things better. He loved music and could spend hours learning about the history of a song or artist. He fought valiantly through various health challenges and never gave up-his strength and perseverance were nothing short of inspiring. Even on his hardest days, he remained grateful and kind to his doctors and nurses caring for him. Caleb is survived by his wife, Jennifer Lynn Cochran of Southaven; daughter, Caitlynn Moriah Cochran of Little Rock; brother, Stephen Cochran of Memphis; sister-in-law, Georgia Bruck of Perryville, AR; brother-in-law, Michael Mills (Missy) of Little Rock; nieces and nephews, Meagan MacLachlan (John), Keenan Abner (Alex), Melissa Price (Chris), Courtney Germany (Dane), and Morgan Mills; great-nieces and great-nephews, Emily Morris, Holly, Lily and Poppy MacLachlan, August Abner, Olivia Springfield, and Sophie Germany; and his cherished pup and grand-pup, Buzz Lightyear and Kooper. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norval Dennon and Linda Dell Rouse Cochran. In lieu of flowers, Jennifer and Caitlynn ask that you honor Caleb's legacy of teaching the next generation of Sheet Metal workers by making a donation to the scholarship fund for the SMART Local 4 – Sheet Metal Division apprenticeship program (6735 Whitten Place Memphis, TN 38133). Expressions of condolences may be left on his Tribute Wall at www.colemanfuneralhomesh.com.
