Daniel E. Fogerty

Daniel Eugene Fogerty (Danny), age 72, passed away peacefully on Oct 7th, 2025, surrounded by his devoted daughters. Born in Memphis, TN on November 24, 1952, to Edwina Fogerty, he was his sister Debi's favorite birthday present. Danny was the second of six children and relished tormenting his younger siblings. He was smart, fun-loving, and mischievous. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps at age 17 and learned to eat fast and always keep a neat appearance. He loved fishing, going on walks in the woods, and catching and releasing various critters he came upon. He was creative and resourceful, bartering for cars (some nice and some not so nice), he was always taking things apart and rebuilding them, often into something different. He liked to make people laugh and smile by telling jokes, playing pranks, or dressing in a silly costume. If he teased you, he liked you. He enjoyed playing games like dominoes, Rook and Spades, eating his favorite foods, spending time with family telling stories and belly laughing. He was always generous with anything he had. Danny will be remembered by friends and family as authentic and down-to-earth. A man who loved music, and loved to sing. He was preceded in death by his pawpaw Buddy and his two siblings, older sister Debi, and his baby brother, Shaun. He is survived by his loving mother Edwina, and his sisters; Ginny (Larry), Toni (Jeff), Shaun's widow (Shannon) and Becky (Skip). He is also survived by his 6 daughters; Danielle (Trae),Andrea, Kathy, Lena Marie (Steve), Edna (Jason), Emily (Josh), 16 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many other family members and loved ones that all contributed greatly to his life's story.
