James Browning Obituary

James Claude Browning, Jr., 77, of Proctor, Arkansas, passed away June 7, 2025, at Mississippi Veterans Home in Oxford, Mississippi. He was born January 31, 1948, in Marked Tree, Arkansas to the late Fredrick James Claude Browning and Lou Christine Ross Browning. Mr. Browning served in Vietnam was a US Marine He was preceded in death by both of his parents, two brothers, Archie Browning and John David Browning, and two sisters, Bobbie Jones and Mary Williams. He is survived by two sons, Claude Browning, Jr. of Proctor, Arkansas, David Eugene Browning of Kansas City, Kansas, two daughters, Jamie Colchado and Vickie Browning both of Kansas City, Kansas, two brothers, Mack Browning of Harrisburg, Arkansas and Charlie Browning of Proctor, Arkansas, and one sister, Stella Russell of Proctor, Arkansas. Visitation for Mr. Browning will be Monday, June 23, 2025 from 12 to 1 PM with the funeral to immediately to follow beginning at 1:00. The visitation and service will both be at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Tyronza, Arkansas. Burial will follow at Marked Tree Cemetery in Marked Tree, Arkansas.
