Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven Judith Eileen Gibson, 78, went to sing with the angels on Thursday, July 3, 2025, in Horn Lake, MS, surrounded by her loving family. No services are planned at this time. Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven is honored to be in charge of arrangements. Judith was a strong and hardworking woman who devoted her life to her family and to helping others. She worked for the Oklahoma Blood Institute for over 17 years before relocating to Mississippi, where she later spent nearly 18 years employed at Walmart before retiring. Judith and her husband, Patrick, have made their home in Horn Lake for almost 25 years. She was full of love, joy, and light. She cherished dancing with Patrick, tending to her beloved rose bushes, and putting her family-especially her children-first. The eldest of six in a military family, Judith naturally carried strength and resilience throughout her life. She taught her daughter, Lynn, to stand up for herself and others, and how to be a loving and devoted mother. Judith is survived by her devoted husband, Patrick Gibson of Horn Lake, MS; her daughter, Lynn Hewes of Horn Lake; her grandchildren, Brandon Coffenberry, Scotty Runzel, Cash Martin, and Zarek Martin; and great-grandchildren, Drake Coffenberry, Chloe Coffenberry, Austin Coffenberry, Braydon Coffenberry, Jasmine Reve, and Ryder Runzel. She also leaves behind her brother, Chrisman Turnage (Stacy); sister-in-law, Amy Beach; nephews, Dustin Hovatter and Chad Turnage; and nieces, Tina Turnage, Tisha Henson, and Ricquel Verrett. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Allie Turnage; her son, Corey Mitchell; her grandson, Jonathan Coffenberry; and close family members Janet and Dave Weller, John Eddie, and Beverly Austin. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to a charity of your choice in honor of Judith Eileen Gibson.
