Julian Blankenship Obituary
Julian Thomas Dock Blankenship, 19, of Covington, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on August 28, 2025. Born March 2, 2006, in Memphis, Julian lived a life full of energy, laughter, and love that touched everyone around him.
Julian was a proud dad to his twin daughters, Oakleigh and Blakely. Everything he did - whether working long hours or chasing big dreams - was with them in mind. He was devoted, hardworking, and willing to sacrifice anything to provide for his girls.
A student at TCAT studying welding, and also working in HVAC, Julian wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty. He loved being outdoors, riding four-wheelers, and tinkering with trucks. Football was one of his greatest passions, but even greater was the joy he found in time spent with family and friends.
Julian's heart was as big as his smile. He was a loyal friend who could be counted on in every season of life. As his dad often said, Julian "honored a handshake like it was ink on paper." His faith was central to who he was, and his love for God and others was evident.
He will be forever cherished by his parents, Thomas and Amber Blankenship; his sister, Emalyn Blankenship; his daughters, Oakleigh and Blakely; his grandparents, John and Dina Carver, Gary and Dian Blankenship, and Lisa McClain; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Mitch McClain. Great-grandparents, Herbert and Denise Blankenship, Dock and Elsa Lenard, Harlen Schrader, Richard and Betsy Trotter, and William and Jean McClain.
Julian's legacy of generosity lives on through his choice to be an organ donor, giving the gift of life to others on September 1, 2025.
Julian will be remembered for his huge heart, his loyalty, and the way he brought joy wherever he went. Though his time here was brief, his impact was lasting, and the love he shared will continue to live on in the lives of all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, Sept. 6 at the Cornerstone Assembly of God Church with interment to follow in Morrison's Memorial Cemetery in Brighton. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday and until service time at the church.
