Larry Truss Obituary

Arthur Larry Truss, 84, was born November 22, 1940, and passed away August 27, 2025. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee to Arthur and Juanita Truss. He retired as an engineer from the Illinois Central Railroad after more than 40 years. He loved antique cars and going antiquing with his late wife Nancy. Larry also had a passion for gardening and could make the best tomato sandwiches. Larry is survived by his children Susan Griffin (Nicky), Art Truss (Joni); grandchildren Daniel Griffin (Cliodhna), Nicole Ball (Steven), Katelyn Clark (Patrick), Emily Mannion (Cory), Jordan Truss, Mackenzie Truss; great grandchildren Emma Griffin, Isla Griffin, Amelia Griffin, Talon Ball, Harlee Ball, Haddie Clark, Lucy Clark, Daphne Clark. He is preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Juanita Truss, sister Helen Truss, and wife Nancy Truss. The family will be receiving friends Tuesday, September 2, from 10-11 am with services beginning at 11 am all at Hernando Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Autumn Woods Cemetery in Olive Branch, Mississippi.
