Michael Arcuri Obituary

Michael Joseph Arcuri, Jr., beloved brother, uncle, and friend passed away on July 4, 2025, at his home in Brighton at the age of 81. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael J. Arcuri Sr., his mother, Lila Lou Wiggins Arcuri, and his sister, Patricia Arcuri Stakes. He is survived by his three brothers, William Y. Arcuri and his wife, Andrea, of Jupiter, Florida, Stephen A. Arcuri and his wife, Janet, of Jupiter, Florida, Philip R. Arcuri of Tallahassee, Florida, his sister, Sherry Arcuri Rekoon and her husband, Richard, of Florham Park, New Jersey, four nephews: Karl W. Arcuri (Gitanjali), Lee M. Arcuri (Graham), Jacob M. Rekoon, Anthony M. Arcuri, two nieces: Rachele Stakes Pla (Carlos) and Gianna L. Arcuri, and six great nephews and nieces. Mike was born on September 18, 1943, in Tallahassee, Florida. He graduated from Cocoa High School in Cocoa, Florida, in 1961 and served three years in the Army, including a tour of duty in Vietnam. Following his discharge, he completed his college education and became a pilot and flew for Falcon Airways. Ultimately, he secured a position as a flight dispatcher at the Federal Express World Hub in Memphis, Tennessee, and had a long career of more than 25 years. After retiring from FedEx, Mike enjoyed spending time with his pilot buddies at the local airfield. He also loved taking care of his horses, collecting classic cars, and visiting with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Cremation services are under the direction Covington Funeral Home with no services planned at this time.
