Nicholas Ryan Anderson

Nicholas "Nick" Ryan Anderson, of Brighton, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the age of 37. He was born in Memphis on June 1, 1988 to parents Larry E. and Bambi Smith Anderson. Nick lived his life as an outdoorsman. Even though he worked on a river boat, previously for Ace and just recently preparing to accept a job with Ingram, he still managed to find his home on the water even when he wasn't working, spending whatever time he could by fishing. If it swam in the river, he was going to try to catch it. He enjoyed going hunting, taking in nature, and even the ocassional motorcycle ride on his Honda. During his school years, Nick played baseball and football. That love of sports carried over into adulthood, with him making sure to catch the football game on television if his beloved Dallas Cowboys or Tennessee Vols were playing. He spent a lot of time working out, and he was a really good cook and enjoyed baking things as well (much to everyone's surprise.) As the middle child of three boys, it's been said that he was quite the prankster, too! He leaves behind his mother, Bambi; his older brother, Christopher "Chris" Anderson (Denny); his younger brother, Timothy "Timmy" Anderson (Jennifer); his grandfather, Norman "Pa" Anderson; his grandmother, Mona Shelton; his nieces, Channing Anderson and Quin Anderson; and his precious 7 year-old daughter, Emerie Dean, who was the light of his life. Nick was preceded in death by his father, Larry Anderson. his grandmother, Dorothy Anderson, and his grandfather, James Smith. A memorial service will be held at 6pm on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at Covington Funeral Home. Friends are invited to join the family for a memorial visitation and gathering beginning at 4pm on Tuesday.
