Rex M. Vaughn

Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch Rex Millington Vaughn, 87, of Nesbit, MS, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025. Friends are invited to a visitation with the family on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., with the service to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch. The interment will be at Autumn Woods Memorial Park. Bro. Derrick Wilson of Longview Heights Baptist Church will officiate. Rex was born on July 14, 1938, in Paris, TN. He was a graduate of Grove High School Class of '57. He served our country honorably in the United States Air Force. Rex graduated from the LSU School of Banking and went on to become a loan officer. He was a member of Longview Heights Baptist Church. Rex valued staying active and enjoyed riding his bike, walking, and bowling. He especially loved doing activities with his family. Throughout his life, he was always the best babysitter in the family and especially enjoyed his time with his grandchildren. Rex is preceded in death by his parents, Katherine Valentine Vaughn and James Raymond Vaughn; sister, Bobbie Fulcher; and brother, Dickie Vaughn. Rex is survived by his wife, Terry Holloway Vaughn of Nesbit; daughter, Stephanie Owsley of Nesbit; granddaughters, Kara Cooper of Memphis, TN, and Amelia Owsley of Nesbit; grandson, Jordan Cooper of Nesbit; and a host of nieces and nephews. In lieu of traditional flowers, donations may be made in Rex Vaughn's name to The Gideons International (www.gideons.org) or to Longview Heights Baptist Church (www.longviewheights.org/giving). In honor of Rex's service to our country, the flag of the United States Air Force will be flown at Coleman Funeral Home on the day of the services.
