Sheryl McDonald Obituary

Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch Sheryl Lynn McDonald, 67, of Olive Branch, MS, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025. No services are scheduled at this time. Sheryl was born on January 20, 1958, in York, NE. Sheryl was a kind, loving person, and anyone who knew her knew that she had the biggest heart of anyone you'd ever meet, maybe even to a fault. She loved her family and supported her kids in whatever way was necessary, even if it meant hitting someone with a phone if she needed to. If anyone needed her, all they would have to do is ask and she'd be there in the blink of an eye. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren knew her as "Nana." Everyone who knew and loved her will miss her more than words can describe. Sheryl was preceded in death by her father, John C. Shannon, Jr. Sheryl is survived by her mother, Barbara Ann Shannon of Olive Branch; husband, Barrett McDonald of Olive Branch; daughters, Shannon McDonald (Joseph "J.R." Crouch) of Byhalia, MS, and Sandy Reed (Donald) of Olive Branch; son, John McDonald (April) of Olive Branch; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brother, Jeff Shannon (Debbie) of Tulsa, OK; and three nephews. In lieu of traditional flowers, donations may be made in Sheryl McDonald's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org). Online condolences may be left on her tribute wall at www.colemanfuneralhomeob.com.
