Tammy Bryant Obituary

Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch Tammy Taylor Bryant, 62, of Olive Branch, MS, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025. The family will welcome friends at a visitation on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Southaven. A celebration of life reception will follow at 12:00 p.m. The Reverend Clay Calhoun will officiate. Tammy was born on March 10, 1963, in Memphis, TN. She worked in advertising for the Commercial Appeal. Tammy found a way to give back to her community through volunteering at the West Clinic Cancer Center. In her free time, she loved watching anything related to crime or the Mafia, so much so that she liked to consider herself a gangster. She was a crime junkie and loved shows like "60 Minutes," "Judge Judy," and crime documentaries. Tammy was also heavily interested in the Victorian Era and loved watching Victorian documentaries and keeping up with the royal family. Tammy was also an avid reader and loved to spend time in nature. She appreciated art, especially when it meant supporting her daughters and the beautiful artwork they created. She even wrote some of her own poetry on occasion. Tammy's laugh was infectious. She was the life of the party wherever she went. You always had a friend with you if she was in the room; she made it a point to never let anyone sit alone. Tammy will be missed by so many who loved her. Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, Judy Bell McCown and Richard McCown. Tammy is survived by her daughters, Cody Barthol (April) of Olive Branch, Lindsey Frisbee (Garrett) of Southaven; grandson, Ricky Maidens (Shelby) of Nampa, ID; great-granddaughter, Ari Maidens of Nampa; brother, Danny Taylor (Mindy) of Memphis, TN; sisters, Paige Russell of Southaven, and Vaughan Nichols (Mark) of Olive Branch; partner, Don Autry of Germantown, TN; aunt, Phyllis Parker (Kendall) of Memphis; several nieces and nephews and multiple four-legged granddogs whom she loved and supported. In lieu of traditional flowers, donations may be made in Tammy Bryant's name to the West Cancer Center (www.westcancercenter.org) or to the Susan G. Komen Organization (www.komen.org). Online condolences may be left on her tribute wall at www.colemanfuneralhomeob.com.
