Dr. Bailie was my dentist from the time we moved to Kenai until his retirement, but he was more than that; he was a friend. That's the way it was back in "the day." The lines were blurred between professionals and other members of the community. Chuck always asked about my children and took a personal interest in what was happening with them. He and Sally were a joy to observe. Theirs was a beautiful love story. Kenai was the better because of them, and their loss is huge.

I have fond memories of both your mother and father. They were an important part of my siblings childhood. Your dad always had a smile on his face and made going to the dentist bearable. He will be missed.

My Uncle Chuck was one of life's kindest and loving men. When I was little he never failed to make me feel special and loved. I looked forward to visiting with Aunt Sal, Uncle Chuck, Patti, Kris, Mary and Tracy, during our summer time visits. I will always remember how crazy he was about his five girls...he loved them so! Raise a glass or two with Daddy, Uncle Chuck! I know he must be thrilled to have you near:)

Although I did not get to meet Chuck I was able to see him through the eyes and heart of my mom. I'm so grateful for the kindness and love he showed to her. And I'm thankful that his family embraced her so graciously. Taken too soon, and missed deeply. My heart hurts for all who loved him. You are daily in our thoughts and prayers.

Chuck and I spent many nights together studying at Seattle U. I was one year behind Chuck at Creighton Dental School. I had the honor of being best man at His and Sally's wedding. We have kept in touch with each other over the years and I consider both of them as dear friends. Chuck was always willing to help with that big smile of his. I wish I could be there on the 11th. I will miss him. Richard B McDonald Camas WA. 98607

Dr. Bailie was the most amazing Dr. I ever knew. Once after severe toothache and surgery he called in the evening to check on me and the next day his office sent me a small floral arrangement and a card. He was simply wonderful and I have and will miss Dr. Bailie. Best ever.
