Christopher Douglas Obituary

Christopher Wade Douglas, "Chris," was the sixth of seven children born to Earl and Clara Douglas on Sept. 6, 1964, in Anchorage, Alaska, whereby he remained a lifelong Alaskan. As a young child Chris gave his life to Christ and even though he did not attend a local church, he acknowledged Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Chris loved his family; he was a very social person who liked to visit with family and friends. Chris had a great sense of humor and loved telling jokes and pulling pranks. He enjoyed camping and fishing, as well as working on his custom van and repairing vehicles.
Chris died from complications related to multiple sclerosis, but before that time he was able to achieve some accomplishments he had set forth in his life, such as owning his own home and spending time with his kids and grandchildren.
Chris is survived by his children: Travaun Sanders and Cherronda Douglas. Remaining to cherish his memories are his father, Earl Douglas Sr.; grandchildren, Trevaun Jr. and Kylia; siblings, Jeanetta Douglas, Earl Douglas Jr., Terri Wynn and Donnell Douglas (Stephanie), all of Anchorage; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and various other family members.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Clara Douglas; sister, Jeanette Douglas; brother, Kenneth Douglas; and nieces, DeNesha Douglas and Desiree Douglas.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018, at New Season Christian Center, 639 West International Airport Road #32, Anchorage, AK 99518. Viewing will be at 11 a.m., followed by funeral at 12 p.m., with the burial at Anchorage Cemetery at 2 p.m.
Though we mourn his loss, we know he rejoices in restored health with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Sunrise: Sept. 6, 1964 - Sunset: July 17, 2018

Dad I love you with everything in me and I miss you even more!! You will always be a hero in my eyes and a man of such strength.. you beat and achieved every obstacle that stood in your way, and even though this one you couldn't control you still lived life and caught like a champ.. words will never explain what you mean to me, and no amount of tears will show the pain, but the fight of life you passed to me will keep going and your legend will remain ALIVE!!! Until I see you again dad I will continue to just make you proud!!! I love you!!
