David Overlin Obituary
A service to celebrate David's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 11, 2016 at Tabernacle Baptist Church. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 3:00-5:00 p.m. on Sunday at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Macon. David will be laid to rest in Salem Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Tabernacle Baptist Church.
David was born on December 15, 1955 in Decatur, IL, the son of Jerry and Shirley (Bilbrey) Overlin. He was a 1974 graduate of Macon High School. David married Renae K. King on September 30, 1978. He was a FedEx courier for 32 years. David was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. He was an avid arrowhead collector and enjoyed camping and canoeing with his family, and hiking with his dad.
David is survived by his wife: Renae K. Overlin of Long Creek, IL; father: Jerry (Karen) Overlin of Macon, IL; children: Jesse David Overlin of Seattle, WA and Lindsay (Rodney) Warren of Decatur, IL; grandson: Maddox Warren of Decatur, IL; sisters: Karen (Richard) Heckel of Macon, IL and Kelly (Dan) Melton of Heyworth, IL.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Shirley, father and mother-in-law: Gene and Bernita King and his brother-in-law: Stan Roush.

We want to extend our most sincere sympathy to a wonderful" Fed ex" courier!! We here at Pana Medical Group got to know Dave well and we will miss him so!!! We always asked how he was doing and the new courier kept us updated. So sorry for your loss!!!!

I was sorry to hear of the Death of David A. Overlin. I was a member of the Salem Baptist Church were David attended back in the 1970's. I remember him playing on the church softball team and going to church camp and he also played football at the Macon, High School. I do pray for his family and loved ones in this time of sorrow. David is now in the present of the Lord and has meant his blessed savior where he will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Amen!

Although it's been many years I clearly remember Dave from MHS. Someone affectionately named him "Rang". He was part of group of guys that included Don "Beagle" Markham, Mark Elliott, Joe "Jaybird" Riley, John Corley, Phil Martin and myself. Our escapades are legendary! May God bless the Overlin and the King families as you mourn the loss of Dave.
