David Plaster Obituary

Life-long Alaskan son David Wayne Plaster, age 45, passed away on Thursday evening, June 5, 2014, during a brief stay at Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage. David was born in Anchorage, AK on May 31, 1969 to Sallie and Leroy Plaster. He lived in Alaska all of his life, except for a short time on Whidbey Island, WA, during early school days where there were horses galore to ride.

David had a big heart, loved family sing-a-longs and was known to break out into song at any time. He had a great sense of humor and was also known for the telling of great stories. Computers, computers, David had a passion for computers and he was an avid on-line gamer with many on-line friends.

David was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Lynn Plaster; grandmothers, Mary Jane Plaster and Marguerite Awilda Louise Adams; grandfather, Elvin Claire Hartley; uncle Jerrie Lee Hartley; aunts, Crystal "Maxine" Slayton and Mary "Lucille" Morrell.

David is survived by his mother, Sallie Marie Plaster; sister, Sherrie Lynn Plaster; brothers, Todd Hartley Plaster, wife, Julie and James Z. Plaster wife, Jeri Lynn; great aunt Dorothy May Adams; grandmother Delores "Dolly" Hartley of Washington State; aunts Sherry McCormack and Sharon Buennagel both of Washington State; nieces Brooke Alydia and Asia Liu Plaster; nephews Brandon and Tristan Plaster; Stephany Englund and Christy Warner; many other loved family members and friends; and not to be excluded is David's beloved family feline, Kata, who was a great source of enjoyment and company for David. He will be missed greatly.

A memorial service will be held at St. Mark Evangelical Church, 3230 Lake Otis Parkway, Anchorage, AK 99508, on Friday, June 20, 2014, at 5 p.m. A reception will follow immediately after the service.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Alaska, 2612 E Northern Lights Blvd, Anchorage, AK 99508-4119
