Dawn Bertram Obituary

Dawn Leona Bertram, 69, passed away on May 23, 2011 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born February 11, 1942 in Salt Lake city, UT, she moved to Usibelli, AK to marry Roland Usibelli in 1960. They lived in Usibelli from 1960 to 1973 where they raised their three children; Gigi, John and Kris. She later lived in Fairbanks from 1973-1975 then moved to Salcha 1975-1977 where she was a part owner of the Aurora Lodge. It was there that she met John Bertram. They were married for 24 years until he passed away in November 2001. They moved to Anchorage in 1977 and she worked at the Cattle Co. for 16 years.

She was diagnosed with lung cancer in October 2010. After receiving 2 months of hospice care from her kids and grandkids, she passed away in the presence of family and the comfort of her home.

She is survived by her eldest daughter Gigi Love and her significant other, Jeff Sullivan and children Tony Love and Frank, his wife Tylene and their daughter, Dawn's great grand daughter Aurora Love; John Usibelli, his wife Teresa Chepoda Usibelli and their kids, Vincent Usibelli and Elizabeth Krenzke and her husband Paul Krenzke; Kris Brandon and her significant other, Brit Marsh.

Service is yet to be determined, but family plans to spread the ashes of Dawn, John and Roland in Homer, AK.
