Eldon Peebles Obituary
A celebration of life will be at 6 p.m. today at Chapel by the Sea. A reception is planned after the celebration of life.
Mr. Peebles was born March 17, 1952, in Lebanon, Ore., to Rodney and Vada Peebles. He graduated from Lebanon High School in 1971. He moved to Ketchikan to work in a logging camp in 1995. Eldon loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and the NRA. Eldon was a follower of his savior, Jesus Christ; a loving husband, father and grandfather. Eldon was a member at Chapel by the Sea and loved his church family. He was a diesel mechanic at Carlile Transportation and was part of the Carlile family for 13-plus years. He will be missed by all who knew him He was a strong and gentle man.
He is survived by wife, Pamela Estep Peebles; children, Anthony Ramirez, Matthew Peebles, Ty Jones, Dominic Estep, Amber Jones, Cody Peebles, Kasia Estep and Shaunna Peebles; grandchildren, Meghan, Ashlie, Kenny, Cody, Taeler, Tyler, Dakota, Isabella and Connor; sisters, Carol Kirk, Bernice Schwartz; and cousin, Dennis Seiders; father-in-law, Ronald Estep; and mother-in-law, Diana Estep; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by father, Rodney Peebles; mother, Vada Payne; and brother, Fred Budde.
Donations in Eldon's name may be sent to the Alaska Heart Institute.

Eldon and I were buddies at Washington Grade School in Corvallis, Oregon. After learning that our birthdays were so close, we started asking questions, and learned that our mothers were room-mates in the hospital, when we were born. He was kind, a good friend.

Ms Pamorama,oh how I wish I was there for one of your 'comfort' hugs. God Bless Pam, condolences to all. For as little as I was around Eldon, I know why the man is so greatly loved. Now please go take care of you. I miss you and love you bunches.

I remember when I was little (about 5) people would look at my Uncle Eldon and address him as "Shorty". I didn't know what to think at first. He definately wasn't short. Why would you call him shorty? A few years later as I grew wiser to the world it dawned on me that was just a nickname. Well farewell "Shorty" may you find peace and comfort in the arms of the lord.

Miss Pamela,
I am so sorry about Eldon (my partner in crime and sharing the same birthday) I am going to miss him. Most of all I know he is in a better place. He is getting things ready for us. There aren't enough words in the world to help with your pain but just knowing that I love you and your family I hope will help.
