Henry 'Sonny' Bartels Beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather, 77 Mr. Henry "Sonny" Bartels, 77, of Nutley, N.J., passed away on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016, at his home. There will be a funeral service celebrated at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Ave., on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016, at 11:30 a.m. followed by military honors. Visitation will be on Friday, Dec. 9, from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday, Dec. 10, from 10:30 a.m. until time of service. The cremation will be held privately. He was owner of Threeway Exxon, Union City, N.J., for 30 years before retiring. Mr. Bartels served honorably in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Regina O'Malley; his devoted children, David Ross and his wife, Veronica, William Ross and his wife, Karin, Ronda Pizanie and her husband, Michael, and Brian Bartels and his wife, Raffaela; his loving siblings, William Bartels and his wife, Marion, and Anita Boehm and her husband, Werner; and also his nine cherished grandchildren.
