I was so sorry to hear that my cousin Henry had passed away. I haven't seen him for many years but as we were close in age I can recall some of the good times as well as some of the squables we had. My heart goes out especially to his wife and family as I know from personal experience the pain and loss you will feel. There will be days that the pain and greif will almost overwhelm you. Those are the days you will want to really lean on the Lord and ask for strength to get you through the day and it is a day by day experience, sometimes moment by moment.

We will sorely miss seeing Hank in his yard, always doing projects and always taken a moment to chat with us. And yes, always always smiling. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the family and Barb.

I am so sorry to hear about Henry. Our deepest sympathy goes out to all the family. I hadn't seen him in many years, the miles between families can make it hard to keep in touch. Let me know if there is anything I can do. Please keep in touch. Love to all from all of our family. God Bless

I remember my Uncle Hank as someone who was always smiling, joking, and happy . I didn't know him as well as I would have liked, but I'll remember him as someone who was passionate about life and interested in people. I will miss him!

Henry, I can remember the first time I saw you at the district wrestling meet, when you were a senior & I was a freshman from Hillsboro, and at the time did not realize how much I would come to love and appreciate your family through the years. I can remember how tough you were in sports, and your smile & sense of humor were worth a million. Even though I did not see you often through the years after you moved to Alaska, many times I would stop and reflect on you, your brother, sisters, and parents, and the kind of down home type of family you were, so much like mine. I still think back about those wonderful days of our youth, and am so thankful that I still have contact with your sisters, and that I got to see you one more time at your Mother's funeral. I know you will be missed, & all of your family are in my thoughts & prayers.

Hank
I was one of a Cadre of young boys in Gales Creek that looked up to Hank. He was kind of our Idol and inspiration. I have always respected him and enjoyed visting with him every time he came back to Gales Creek. He was just a class act.
You will missed!

Hank........What a stinker & big tease! Have you ever met anyone who loved to laugh more than he? How can you not fall in love with someone who laughs from their belly like he did? Even though he was always busy and far away, I knew he loved me. I knew that no matter how long it had been since I saw him last I could pick up the phone and ask for help or just say hello. Yep, that's just how he was....he had enough compassion for us all. And you know what? I loved him too.

I always enjoyed spending time with my brother. He was quick witted and always made me laugh. He and I always discussed politics and were preaching to the choir with each other. He was a patriat and a great American who loved his Country. We will miss him terribly. Joe & Betty Mendoza
