Jay McMahill Obituary

Jay "Pappy Mack" McMahill, 73, died Oct. 30, 2007, at Alaska Regional Medical Center after a long battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and liver disease.
A service will be at noon Saturday at Witzleben Family Funeral Home Chapel, 1707 S. Bragaw St., with his close friend the Rev. Frank Thompson of Hosanna Fellowship officiating. A reception will be afterward at Park Lanes Bowling Alley, 4350 Ames Ave.

His family wrote: "Jay loved his family and his family loved him. We will miss him, but realize with his pain and suffering, he is in a better place. He is at home with his Lord. (We) remember him by a quote he used to say. When asked what his favorite color was, he would reply: 'Any color is my favorite color as long as it's red.' "
