1972 - 2017

Jeremy Jerimiah Welsh, age 44, passed away on Jan. 7, 2017, in Anchorage, Alaska.
Public viewing will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, at Janssen's Mat-Su Funeral Home, 6901 East Blue Lupine Drive in Palmer, Alaska.
Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017, at the Larsen Family Home, 1831 Driftwood Circle in Palmer.
Jeremy was born on Dec. 27, 1972, in Clarkston, Wash., to Darrel and Rose (Margeson) Welsh.
He moved to Alaska in 1974, and was raised here until he left for Utah in 1997. He eventually moved back to Alaska in 2012.
Jeremy loved landscaping, which included building elaborate ponds and waterfalls. He also loved playing his guitar, in addition to anything to do with electronics and flying model airplanes.
J.J. and his fiancee, Julia, were excited about preparing and planning for their upcoming wedding.
The family wrote: "Jeremy was better known by his family and friends as 'J.J.' He was a very loving, caring and compassionate man who be-friended for life. He adored and spoiled on his nieces and nephews. J.J. loved his children to the depths that only few could understand. There are few words that could express the pain we fill with his absence, but we will continue to keep his spirit alive with our everlasting love and memories."
Jeremy's final wishes were to be cremated. His ashes will be scattered and divided amongst the family.
Jeremy is preceded in death by his parents, Darrel R. Welsh and Rose M. Welsh; his sister, Jovina Kelly; brother, Dirk Welsh; grandparents, Floyd and Dorthy Margeson; as well as many aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his loving fiancee, Julia Vendetti-Welsh of Alaska; his ex-wife and life-long friend, Hollie Wilkerson; his children: son, Austin Welsh; daughter, Breana Welsh; and daughter, Emma Welsh; his brother, Jeff Welsh; sister, Sherri L. Schruder; brother and sister-in-law, Forrest and Lonni Miles; brother, Scott Miles; sister, Sandy Ebbs Miles; sister and brother-in-law, Billie and Steven Larsen; and uncle and aunt, Butch and Shirley Margeson. He is also survived by 33 nieces and nephews and many other aunt, uncles and cousins.
