John Brinegar Obituary

Nikiski resident, John H. Brinegar, IV aka Johnny B. "Tattoo Pimp," passed away Monday, November 12, 2012 at his home in Nikiski from a severe asthma attack.

Memorial services will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2012 at The Soldotna Church of God on the corner of Redoubt and Binkley St in Soldotna. Pastor Allan Humphries will officiate. His cremated remains will be scattered in the spring in Kenai River where he will be laid to rest with his step-mother, Gloria Ely.

He worked for Peak Oilfield Services as welder's helper and finished with Peak in 2010 as a pipefitter when his condition worsened. His passion was drawing, tattooing and scrimshaw in which he was very good at!! The best!! John was with his girl of seven years, Karmyn Dick who was with him, by his side until the end!!

"I love you John, God rest your soul," wrote the family.

John was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Bishop and his stepmother, Gloria Ely.

He leaves his best friend/spouse, Karmyn; his father, John Sr., 'Trapper John' of Texas; his sisters; nephews, and nieces: Ginger Oleski and son, Joey of Texas, Julie Curry and sons, Walter Curry of Texas, Josh Curry and great-nephew, Joshua Curry Jr., of Kenai, Alaska and her daughter, Holly Curry of Sterling and great niece, Vanessa Skye of Kenai, Alaska, Ronda Flynn and niece, Bonnie and nephew, Jimmy and his great nieces, Katelyn and Allison and his great-nephew, Shane all of Wyoming, and his all time BFF ~ his dog, 'Beamer' of Kenai, Alaska.

We ask that anyone that has been 'tattoo pimped' by John's fantastic artwork, to please attend this service to pay your respects and allow John's woman to create a collage of all his amazing artwork.

I knew Johnny went I was a counselor at Wildwood back in 2000. I was honored to know him and he was one of my favorite guys who was talented, smart and genuine.
