Memories of John in his younger days are vivid to me though our family lost touch with him as the years went by. He was kind enough to visit my mother when in was visiting in PA and that meant a lot to her, I appreciated it just as I appreciate his kindness and thoughtfulness in sending a card when she passed. Love and best wishes to John's immediate family,

I never had the chance to meet Uncle John in person but from our first phone conversation he made me feel as if I was a part of his family. I will always remember how kind and welcoming he was to me. I am glad that I had the chance to know him if just for a short time. He will be missed by our family but I know that the memories we have will always be cherished.

My Uncle John was always far away geographically, by very close to my heart. His warmth and caring was always there for me, and I had a very special two weeks with him in Italy ten years ago. Of his many and varied gifts, the one that I will always cherish and remember was his gift to make me laugh with his unique dry wit. One of my favorite pictures of us was him holding me up as he laid on his back in my parent's home - with both of us giggling. He was not only a man of humor, but one who possessed artistic and handy-man skills. I always admired his depth and intellect. There weren't many topics that were foreign to him.
I will miss you Uncle John, but will never forget the love and laughs that you brought to my life. Love you always!!!
Brett
