When people ask who was the one teacher that made a difference in your life I always say Mr.Neslund because he believed in me and taught me to never give up. He made such wonderful imprint in the world. My thoughts and prayers to the family.

Linda, David, Helen and all the family members: I was sorry to learn of my friend, Ken's passing. I will always treasure the six years I had working with the teachers and staff of Hermon Hutchens Elementary School in Valdez. Ken was "one of the best" who really cared about "his" children. Ken and Linda were never strangers to me and my family coming from the Bristol Bay where families still speak of the Neslunds. My prayers for all of you who truly loved Ken, as he truly loved you. Your Friends, Mark and Gloria Hiratsuka (and Mary Beth).

Sorry to hear of Ken's passing Linda and family
Ken was a great person and a great teacher. As one of the residents of North Snotree Street Ken and his family were great neighbors.
I learned more about astronomy from Ken on those "Star" walks than from anyone before or since.
When Ken and Linda left Valdez I bought a storage container of Ken's boating building screws and nails which I still have to this day.
