LeRoy Moore Obituary

LeRoy Moore was born on July 4, 1928, in Rutledge, Ga., to James Luther and Esie Sims.
LeRoy Moore departed this life on Dec. 29, 2018, in Anchorage, Alaska.
He leaves to mourn his death his daughter, Arlene Moore of Oakland, Calif.; sisters, Hallie M. Strickland of Atlanta, Ga., and Lucille A. Smith of Tampa, Fla.; brothers, James Burston and Richard L. Burston of Tampa, Fla., and Lee Rogers of Atlanta, Ga.; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; caregiver, Kim Anderson and her daughter, Emagyn "boobiedoo" Anderson; and special friend, Ida Wiley.
LeRoy is Preceded in death by his father, James Luther Moore; mother, Esie Sims; son, Clifford Moore in March 2018; sisters, Bridie "Pearl" Hendry and Julia B. Ross; and brother, Zackery "June" Moore; and dear friend, Queen Anderson.
LeRoy was a man of God who walked by faith and loved the Lord, his church family and Pastor Patterson at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. LeRoy's family often tried to encourage him to move back to Georgia to be near to family but, LeRoy would often say that he has his "Church Family" and didn't want to leave Alaska. LeRoy Moore will be missed by family and friends and will forever live in our hearts.
Funeral service will be held at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church on Jan. 11, 2019. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., and funeral at 11 a.m.

LeRoy Moore was a great friend for many many year frist met leroy when he bought my mom and dads duplex. Leroy would help anyone who was in need. A kind spoken man that will be greatful miss and never forgotten rest in peace LeRoy.
