So where do I begin?
It has taken me some time to collect my thoughts because it was easier being in denial that this sad news was not reality!
I met Lou and Loretta 16 1/2 years ago in 2000 when LA fitness opened up! They were an amazing pair, finishing each other's sentences , laughing together and really enjoying life to the fullest! I was drawn to their zest for life!
I immediately bonded with both of them because of their love of life, people, health and fitness. I joined them in selling the perfect balance plus. It was exactly what it claimed to be and more! I came to the health corner for my measurements and products and we talked for hours! I not only had a business , I had amazing connection with spirit filled friends!
We shared so many great times....Spin every Tuesday and Thursday at LA fitness , MS bike rides to Ocean City and back, multiple fundraisers......it goes on and on.........
I always felt great after spending time with Lou ! He was always ready to lend a listening ear, to guide , to uplift and encourage greatness! He had a positive spirit unlike no one I have ever met! I can truely say, " I have never heard him say a bad word about anyone". Lou would always tell me ," don't let people come into your world......let it go."....He was always so proud of any growth I shared with him.....he would reply,"see, you got it!"
Our original Gaboni MS group was hysterical! We would goof off and laugh at the craziest things like Stephanie riding into a stop sign or Rhonda taking off after she heard a dog barking and chasing her! We wore Campbells soup jerseys and I would kid Lou about how good his tomatoes looked on his butt! We would say,"coulda had a V8 ....with vodka! And then everyone would join in laughing silly! I can hear the excitement in Lou's voice and see his big smile and hear him saying "ohhh" followed by a laugh as I write this message.
Lou always called me a princess. He would tease me about how I always had to have my lips lined during our rides.....he always loved telling the story of when I clicked out of the bike but leaned to the wrong side and I yelled , "Lou, I am falling!" He said, " I even fall like a princess! I had a bruise the size of my entire butt and when he joked about it , I would ask him, " do you wanna see how bad it is?" He would say, "Loretta, she wants to show me her butt".......Loretta would always just smile and shake her head
Lou was all about making people greater and so our MS group got bigger and bigger and because we were so goofy , we became Lou's Loonies! All the Loonies are so dear to Lou and Loretta's heart and we will continue to carry out Lou's Legacy for years to come.
I am grateful for the last gathering at my house .....we all sat around the table and told each other something real about ourselves. Lou recalled his near death experience as a young man and it was amazing ! We cried, we laughed and we hung out for hours! One of my boys said," you and your friend are so rediculously loud laughing". To me that was another testimony of how blessed I am to have known Lou in such a personal way!
It amazed me that Lou got back to the gym after his year battle with cancer. He spun behind me the Thursday before he passed. He was not exactly himself. But he took a video of Loretta during their favorite song! Priceless!
That night he sent me a message on FB Of a light moving from one set of hands to another and the message reads," I am passing the light of peace , love, and prosperity to you for 2017!"
I ask myself, " why would he send this to me when I was going to see him Saturday, New Year's Eve at spin ?....Did he have an idea time was near?........
I am forever thankful for those last well wishes to me!
What a blessing!
Lou, I am forever grateful for everything you taught me and for sharing your life with me!
Until next time..........
I love you!

Lou was a source of inspiration to so many like myself. I joined LA Fitness 10 yrs ago where I had Lou as a spin instructor. Although I left the gym several yrs ago I can still remember many of Lou's
Words of Wisdom. "If you have your health you have your wealth". Lou used his health and energy for many years to motivate so many like myself. His sudden death leaves me sad but thankful to have been touched by this wonderful man.

My heart is so very saddened to have learned of the passing of this AMAZING man. I am forever grateful for his kindness, his love, and his life. Lou was my first Spin Coach at LA Fitness. I am so very glad I got to see and hug him when he recently returned to spinning. The day I heard he was back to exercising...I had just walked through the doors of LA Fitness..I immediately went to find him!! I was so happy to see him!! I still hear his voice saying " Your health is your wealth." Our last class together was entitled "Silver Sneakers." Now, Lou ..you have on your Golden Sneakers in Heaven! Rest in Peace, my friend..you always will be very sadly missed and you are forever in my heart.❤

Lou was one of the most caring and genuine persons I have ever met. His support and encouragement are the reason I, and many others, became bicyclists. Lou could convince you that anything is possible and he was usually right.
Lou and Loretta have affected so many people's lives in positive ways and we are all better for knowing them. Lou's Loonies became like a second family because of them.
Our Prayers go out to you, Loretta and your family.
God bless our dear friend Lou,
