Meredith McCrae Obituary
A viewing will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Monday at Witzleben Legacy Funeral Home on Bragaw Street. A service will be at 2 p.m. at Lighthouse Christian Fellowship. A celebration of her life will be from 4 to 6 p.m. at VFW Post 10252 on Mountain View Drive.
Ms. McCrae was born March 21, 1971, in Anchorage.
She graduated from the Adult Learning Center on May 19, 1990.
Her family said: "Meredith was a devoted parent who loved her children and family dearly. She had a big heart and always thought of others first. Meredith loved the Lord and her heart's desire was to please Him and serve Him."
Ms. McCRae is survived by her mother, Lillian McCrae; father and stepmother, Angris McCrae Sr. and Melissa McCrae; loving children, Miguel Pineiro Jr. and Laniaja Hunter; brothers, Ray Lipscomb, Angris McCrae Jr., Tyrone McCrae, Michael McCrae and his wife, Eureka; sisters, Jennifer Stanberry and Tamika Walker; aunts, Mildred Mance, Lizzy Tate and Vivian Lipscomb; uncles, Leroy Lipscomb, Clarence Lipscomb and Otis Lipscomb; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other loved ones.
Arrangements are with Witzleben Funeral Home.

I am so sorry for your loss. I was Merediths roommate up in Prudhoe Bay for a while, and we became close. She was there to help me through my Dads passing and I considered her a good friend. She was a beautiful soul and I already miss her laugh. She so loved her kids and spoke of them often. She wanted me to meet you Laniaja, and I think we spoke on the phone. I would like to be able to get in touch with you again. My heart goes out to all who knew and love her.

My sincerest condolences to all family and friends. It's hard to lose a loved one at anytime especially as young as Meredith. Just know that she has been called home to be with God and she will be watching over all of you.

I met Meredith when she worked at the Prudhoe Bay hotel on the North Slope. She was very kind, shy at times and she had a great sense of humor. She always talked very highly about her children and much she loves them. I was shocked and sad to hear about her passing. My thoughts and prayers will be with her children and family. Rest in peace sister until we meet again in God's kingdom.
