Patricia Jeffries Obituary
Patricia was a resident of Wadsworth, Ohio. Pat earned her Masters Degree at Kent State University and enjoyed a long career as an art educator and artist, retiring as the head of the Art Department of Highland High School in Medina County in 2008.
Preceded in death by her husband, Jody Zarych; parents, Dolores and Charles Zinsmayer; and grandparents, Helen and Michael Vegh; she is survived by daughter, Abby (Zack) Hendler; husband, Ron Jeffries; sister, Linda Sir Louis (Jim); brothers, Tom, Chuck (Roberta), Jeff and Chris Zinsmayer; nieces, Amy and Katie, and nephew Ryan. Pat Zarych was a loving, creative and inspiring woman that touched many lives and was loved by many.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2014 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Rd., Copley. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ Catholic Church, 260 Broad St., Wadsworth, 44281, followed by Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery. I just heard the news today, and I'm deeply saddened. Pat was such a wonderful person, and hands down the best art teacher I've ever had. I have learned so much from her in school, and later in my career. She always had the most encouraging words. I do not think I would be where I'm at in art if it wasn't for her teaching. My deepest thoughts and prayers go to her family. I'm so sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful woman!

Abby and family,
I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. She was my art teacher and she will forever have a place in my heart. She was such a wonderful spirit. Fond memories of her encouragement during the hardest time of my life.
