Rickie D. Davidson

Long time Alaska resident Mr. Rick Don Davidson, 69, passed away at home on Friday, April 3, 2015, in Willow, Alaska. Rick was a man of strong moral countenance. He understood the need of accepting responsibility for one's fate in life, and to the best of his ability assumed this duty to family, friends and country. He was loyal, steadfast and committed to his family, exhibiting in his own dear way, what he comprehended to be the attributes of a good husband and father. He communicated to his children that family was usually the one thing you could count on for support when life got tough (this proved more than true). And to have good friends was the bonus. Rick possessed a great sense of humor, laughing easily with others. He was not critical of those he encountered in life; it did not occur to him to be so, having a gift for putting others at ease, and a good capacity for forgiveness. Rick acknowledged the source of life and sought to understand it. He was a man of true grit, a hero to his family, a constant companion and friend to his wife, ever faithful to those of us who knew and loved him. We are truly blessed and thankful, now and always, for having shared the journey with him. His presence will be missed. Arrangements were entrusted by Valley Funeral Home, Wasilla Chapel.
