Alan, I know you don't know me, I'm a fan who has grown up listening to your music since 1989. But I'm not sending this message as a fan, but a friend, a friend you never met. I just want to send my deepest sympathy to you and your family at this difficult time. I have listen to your songs about your parents and can tell they were good people and you were deeply close to both of them.
Reading the messages that people have left about your mother, she was a lady I really wish I could have known. I don't say that because of her relationship to you, even though I enjoy your music, but because of the wonderful person she was in her own right. She will definitely be remembered in the hearts of all who knew and loved her and live on through your music. May you find comfort knowing that she is now with Jesus and your Daddy and she is "HOME"
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, God Bless each of you.

So sorry for your loss. I am Priscilla Young's daughter. Mama was so sorry to hear about your mom. Many sweet memories of your mom and dad coming to Macon to visit my grandparents. Ruth and Aunt Vera are worshiping in the presence of Jesus today.
