Teresa Caterinichio

1968 - 2018

Teresa Ann Caterinichio, age 50, passed away at home in Anchorage,. Alaska. She was born on June 12, 1968, to a large outgoing Italian family and was raised in Anchorage.
Teresa married David Scott Wisdom on the beaches of Hawaii and had three beautiful sons: Tavner (age 15), Lucas (age 13) and Matthew (age 8).
Teresa was one of six children born to Dr. Joseph and Nina Caterinichio. There was never a dull moment in the Caterinichio house. With an incredibly close-knit family, Teresa was loved. She has four sisters and one brother, as well as 18 nieces and nephews, all residing in Alaska.
Teresa attended West High School and was a top swimmer, competing nationally.
Teresa, to many known also as "Tess," graduated from Gonzaga University in biological sciences. After working as a chemist in a lab, she started her new career in pharmaceutical sales, spending the next 30 years in the medical field. She lived in Seattle, Wash., Missoula, Mont., Portland, Ore., and then returned to Anchorage to be with her family and raise her children.
Teresa was incredibly bright, feisty and engaging. She was sweet with a side of zest. She also was an incredibly loving mother, who recently had become a fixture at local swim meets where her sons, following in her footsteps, excel as top swimmers.
Teresa was a wine and cheese enthusiast and loved to cook. Her joy was bringing her family to Italy, where she travelled and explored and was working to become a dual citizen of Italy.
She left the earth too soon, but lived life to its fullest. You could never exit her home without being offered wine, spaghetti and laughs.
Tess is survived by her husband, Scott Wisdom; and three loving children, Tavner, Lucas, Matthew; her mother and father, Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Caterinichio; Angelina Caterinichio and Gary Grant; Lisa Caterinichio; Kevin Chartier; Joey Caterinichio and Ja Dorris; Nina Caterinichio and Colin Wesselman; Gus Caterinichio and Nerissa Arbucci; and nieces and nephews, Madeline and son Liam Blake, Bryan and Carley Grant, Nathan, Grace and Micheal Chartier, Ryann, Lauren and Adam Dorris, Gabrielle and Vincent Caterinichio and Noah, Jacob and Auggie Wesselman.
The immediate family will gather for a private service, and we ask the community to join us for a Celebration of Life which will be held on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018, at O'Malley's on the Green at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Anchorage Project Access in honor of Tess at www.anchorageprojectaccess.org.
