I was fortunate enough to know him as both Mr. Cook when he was my teacher at Muldoon Christian School and as Tom in my early adulthood when we played on the same softball team for a number of years. He was always kind and fair and even though I was a foolish kid, he always treated me like an adult. The amount of people at his memorial is a testament to who he was and how many people he impacted. This world's loss is heavens gain.

Sally,
I am so deeply saddened to hear about Tom's sudden passing. We had just seen him a few month's ago at physical therapy and this just doesn't seem real. My heart aches for you and the rest of your family. Tom was such an amazing man and always had a smile on his face. He had a heart of gold and will be missed by so many. Sending you lots of love and prayers.

Oh my gosh! This breaks my heart- he was such a good man and was one of the few teachers at Teeland that treated me kindly- he helped me so much during my time teaching at Teeland. He knew how to listen and encourage others. He also loved to talk about his family and was such a light for Jesus. My prayers are with you all!! May God hold you in His arms and give you strength and comfort!

What a wonderful man. My daughter had him for a science teacher and basketball coach and enjoyed every minute of it. He will truly be missed.

I am so saddened by the shortened time for Tom who was such a light in the world. I was struck but not surprised by the outpouring of support at the Teeland School where it was obvious he was a positive influence on the lives of so many students over the years. I will always remember Tom as a cheerful, conscientious, and empathetic person who made our fellow CHS graduates proud to have known him. My very best wishes to his family, and particularly to my friend and classmate, Sally who I know will persevere with grace and faith and courage.

Tom's heart was as big as Alaska! He loved to teach and share the beauty of his great state. My family and I will always remember the days, although too few, we spent with him and Sally. We pray God's peace for the family and look forward to our reunion in the future.
