Timothy Rebischke Obituary

Tim Rebischke was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. Tim had a full life filled with many adventures and travels around the world. He was a proud member of the Air National Guard.
Tim had a gift for meeting people and inviting them to his Deep Creek Bed and Breakfast and Salty Dog Charters overlooking the Cook Inlet, where the captain took many for a great day of fishing. Many memories were made cooking halibut, mussels, fried clams and sitting by the fire watching the sunset behind Mt. Redoubt. Besides fishing, Tim loved flying and hunting.
His biggest love and wonderful companions were his beautiful golden retrievers, which he bred and raised. Tim loved being an uncle and hanging out with the kids.
Tim is survived by his sisters, Bonnie Sturn (Larry) and Patricia McRoberts; brother, David Rebischke (Debi); and his uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. Tim will be missed by all of his family and friends.
The family would like to thank all the friends and caretakers that supported and cared for Tim, including Hospice Care of Prestige Nursing Home, the VA and Katmai Oncology.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Aug. 3, 2019, at his home, 6902 Carline Place in Anchorage, from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m.

I am so sorry to hear of Tim's passing. I remember him flying us into a sheep hunt in the Wrangle Mountains; him allowing our family to split wood on his property; him tipping a canoe over with me in it - in front of the Peanut Farm on a float trip down Campbell Creek in the 80's; then running our boat up onto the bank as he was looking back at the water skier we were pulling on a lake in Wasilla; and the fun we had with the portable hottub he built on a trailer then rented out for parties. He was a sweet & salty dog'. My family's heart goes out to his family and all his friends for losing him way too young.

Tim, you were always such a part of our lives - not only in high school, but for years thereafter. Your name was an integral part of every reunion. I'll never forget my trip back home (Alaska) and your house was the hub of our halibut fishing excursion. I pray PEACE over your family and loved ones during this difficult time and can only hope that you are enjoying your homecoming into eternity ...

I met Tim somewhat recently after he came by his new neighbors house (mine) to introduce himself. He seemed like a very nice guy, and I wish I had had time to get to know him better.
RIP, Tim...

I worked with Tim while at KENI Radio and will always remember a fantastic weekend I spent with him at Salty Dog. He was a wonderful person-full of fun with the best smile. He was also great on the radio when promoting his business. I mourn his passing.

Ahh. Tim... I'll always remember his huge smile! Tim was always happy, welcoming & fun to be around. His beloved dogs were always by his side. Tim was always hosting parties and events and occasionally we, his friends, were allowed to host and honor him. I remember his proud day at the Guard, fishing on the Salty Dog, cleaning his cabins before a busy season (Tim made that chore fun!), introducing us to his new found love of Amazon Rainforest music- he invited the musicians to play at his party! Lots of fun memories and good times.
I shall remember Tim and his family in my prayers. Rest in eternal peace my friend.
