William Bertram Obituary

Former Anchorage resident William Patrick Bertram, 66, died Nov. 6, 2010, at the home of his brother, Kenny Bertram, in Mukilteo, Wash.

A memorial service will be held Monday at the Bertram home in Mukilteo.

Patrick was born March 17, 1944, and came to Anchorage in the 1950s with his folks, Alex and Gerry Bertram.

As a young child Pat worked delivering papers for the Anchorage Daily News, moving up to pressman at the The Anchorage Times. He also worked for Ken Ray's Printing. He had lived in Anchorage for 55 years before moving to Washington in 2005.

In his retirement, he enjoyed woodworking and especially wood crafts and building projects.

His family wrote: "Pat's generosity and kind heart were an inspiration to his family and friends. He lived his life with the joy of having his friends and family around."

He is survived by his brother and sister in-law, Kenny and Betty Bertram of Mukilteo; and his sister, Linda Townsend of Florida.
