My condolences to all Heidi's loved ones. I met Heidi while working at Air Products in the late 80's. After she moved we remained Christmas card friends. I enjoyed hearing about her life each year. She always had fun updates about her kids and most recently, grandkids. I don't know how vocal she was but I can say based on her letters, her kids (and grandkids) were genuine joys in her life. I also enjoyed her witty sense of humor. In her office at where we met she had a poster of Austria. She spoke of its beauty and that inspired me to visit Europe. I loved it so much I've been there 4 times and she had a lot to do with inspiring me to travel there. She also shared some words of wisdom through the years about parenting (try not to worry too much). As a late bloomer mom this advice helped. She will be missed. I know her BD is coming up, it will no doubt be bittersweet. I'm praying the good times will help sustain you and that the remembrance get together will be helpful for all.
