Ethel Klein Obituary

Ethel J. Klein died on Monday, August 11, 2025. She was 63 years old.

Ethel was born in Lake City, MN and attended grade school in Goodhue, MN. The family then bought a farm in Malmo, MN and Ethel began attending Isle schools when she was in the sixth grade. Ethel was primarily a welder and then she moved home to the farm and worked at the local sawmills for 20 years. Her last job was at Lakeland Printing in Isle, MN. She enjoyed horseback riding, fishing, camping, adventures with friends, playing cards and keeping the yard nice with flowers.

She is preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Frances Klein; her brother, Fred Klein and her longtime boyfriend, Butch Vandenberg.

Ethel is survived by her daughters, Amy Lee Trunk and Ashley (Keith) Kunnari; her grandchildren, Austin Parker, Jace Benson and Taylor Parker, and her siblings, JoAnn Klein, Jule Majerus, Lee Klein, Perry Klein, Joy Klein and Dale Klein.

A celebration of her life is planned for Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 1 until 3 P.M. at her home in Malmo, 21273 310th Ave., Isle, MN 56342.
