Pearl Jamison Obituary

We, the family of Pearl Jamison, resident of Akron, Colorado, woefully
announces that she was called to the Lord on Jan. 9th, 2015 in the
home of grand-daughter and caregiver, Savanna Stallings, in Sterling,
Colorado at the age of 99.
Pearl was born to Loren and Daisy Hale in Abbott, Colorado. She was
the first born of seven children and raised in a sod house homestead.
She achieved her standard education and moved on to complete beauty
school. She was witness to a great deal of history, instances like the
first flight and landing on the moon. She was successful in life and
had many amazing experiences such as visiting the Holy Land and Egypt.
She gave life to two daughters and adopted a son at birth that she
raised as her own. She was an active member of the First Baptist
Church of Akron, CO for fifty-four years and worked as a hair dresser
for fifty years. She loved to dance, always wore a smile, and was kind
to all who graced her presence. Amongst her many talents like
gardening, baking, and painting, she was also an extraordinary
seamstress, which is a talent she passed on to her daughters and
grand-daughters.
She is preceded in death by both parents and siblings Opal Roderick,
Ruby Finkner, and Frank Hale. She is survived and mourned by
siblings, Coleman Hale, Loriene Finkner, and Mary Appenzeller, both
daughters Loretta Smith and Sandra Trimbach, her son LeRoy Curtiss,
grandchildren Ben Virgil, Lorna Scharisky, Shawn Brandau, Kurtis
Brandau, Kelli Minor, Savanna Stallings, Jade Curtiss, and Destinee
Curtiss. Along with numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, great
grandchildren, in-laws, and friends.
-"Far too many to name,
But family just the same."-
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. However, she will live
on through the bright smiles, kind words, and good deeds that are
inspired by her actions on earth and the fond memories that live in
our hearts.
The family would like to invite relatives and friends to join us in a
memorial service for Pearl Jamison on Friday, January 16th, 2015 at
2:00pm at the First Baptist Church of Akron, CO; to be followed by a
graveside memorial at the Akron Cemetery. Afterwards we will be
sharing snacks and stories at the First Baptist Church of Akron. We
welcome anyone would like to share their own memory.
