Marian Dolan Memoriam

Marian Enecks Erickson Dolan, 88, of High Springs, Florida, passed away on
December 18, 2024, with family at her side after a brief battle with cancer.

Marian was born October 30, 1936, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, daughter of
James Oswell Parnell Enecks and Carmel Elizabeth Berryman Enecks.

Marian graduated from high school in Savannah, GA. She met and married
Richard Erickson, moved with him to Michigan, and raised 6 children; four sons
and two daughters.

After divorce, she moved to Bremerton, Washington, and was employed by the
US Navy as a civilian engineering technician.

Marian developed a love of flying, qualified for her pilot license, and purchased
an Ercoupe airplane. She eventually circumnavigated the continental United
States in an epic flight from Washington to California, Texas, Florida, the
Carolinas, Michigan, and back to Washington, with many landings and
takeoffs in between.

Marian then transferred employment to the King's Bay Naval Submarine Base
in Kingsland, Georgia. She married Michael Dolan, and they lived in Folkston,
Georgia. After Michael's passing, she retired and moved to High Springs,
Florida. As an avid reader, she immediately became involved with the local
library, where she volunteered. She was also a member of the Greater Florida
Women's Club and the High Springs Garden Club, where she made lasting
friendships. She loved reading and playing cards with her Lady Gamer friends

Marian is survived by her sister, her six children, and many grand- and great-
grandchildren.

Marian will be interred at a later date in a private family cemetery in Georgia.
