Gordon McIntyre Obituary

Retired staff sergeant, U.S. Air Force
Gordon F. McIntyre, 82, formerly of Alamogordo, died Saturday, May 23, 2009, at the New Mexico State Veterans Center in Truth or Consequences.
Mr. McIntyre was born May 29, 1926, in Shenandoah, Iowa, to Frank Ross and Louis Jane (Kendall) McIntyre. He enlisted in the U.S. Army during World War II and retired from the U.S. Air Force as a staff sergeant in 1964. He later worked as a road inspector for Cobb County, Ga., before his retirement.
Survivors include two daughters, Jean Lewis and her husband, Tim, of Alamogordo, and Linda Morris and her husband, Dennis, of Topeka, Kan.; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Lynn McIntyre and his wife, Ann, of Allen, Texas; and a sister, Bette Scott, of Clarinda, Iowa.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home and inurnment will be in the Pine Ridge Memorial Park in Kennesaw, Ga.

Mr. McIntyre,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your years of dedicated service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army and USAF-especially during WW II. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
