Guy Pannell Obituary
Guy was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, on Sept. 20, 1964. He was the first child, and the first son, of Glynn Riesach and the late Guy C. Pannell.
Guy enjoyed his career in the automobile sales industry where he thrived in the environment. He made many friends and repeat customers over the years. Guy was known for his unique sense of humor and as one of his friends said " I don't know what was funnier, what he said or the fact that I thought he was actually serious when he was saying it."
Guy loved to travel and frequently packed up his truck and went on extended trips. One of his favorite trips included spring training for Major League Baseball in Arizona. He also enjoyed taking the coastal highway in California to British Columbia to visit family and friends. Guy had a passion for all sports. He often had sports on the TV while playing several fantasy leagues at once.
Guy shared a special bond with his brothers doing numerous activities including going to the lake, camping, recreational shooting or just hanging out watching sporting events. They would always have a good conversation about cars, sports or politics.
Guy is survived by his mother, Glynn Riesach, of Sundre Alberta; sister Carrie and Mike Schuler, of Calgary; brother Karlo and Carmen Pannell, of Alamogordo; sister Marlo and Matt Thorne, of Alamogordo; sister Barb Wood, of Surrey B.C.; sister Lisa Wood, of Sundre Alberta; brother Darro and Laura Pannell, of Alamogordo; brother Gerro and Amanda Pannell, of Alamogordo; sister Milano and Michael Beltran, of Las Cruces; and sister Margo Pannell of Las Cruces Twenty nieces and nephews, one great-niece and one great-nephew also survive Guy.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the National Spinal Cord Injury Association or the American Cancer Society.
The family will hold a private Celebration of Life memorial service at a later date.
